I have been trying out the CM organizer and loving it! It has been so helpful as I’ve transitioned my “year .5” ds from literature based unit studies to a more CM approach. I’m really wanting to be more purposeful with the habit training (for me too!). I started using chore cards with “To Do” and “Done” pockets. It’s great and ds works well with it, but I find myeslf forgetting to put out chore cards some days. I’m wondering if anyone has used the CM organizer to help you with “assigning” certain regular chores. I was wondering if it might help me remember to follow through with those chore cards. I’d love to hear any other creative “outside the box” ways any of you are using the organizer, too.
Thanks!
Melissa
the9clarksParticipantI enter in all our chores, altho we do all our chores together so I don’t have to worry about keeping up with charts & such. I schedule a resource and title it: Sweep, or Mop, or Girls’ Laundry, you get the idea. Then I set the divisions as “none” and Save & Schedule it. Then I just select the day for each chore. Done! Easy. 😀
When the chore pops up, always select “worked on” or else you’ll notice laundry never pops up again. 😉
TX-MelissaParticipantThanks! I’ll give it a try this week.
