Ok.. so my son who is 6 will be in 1st grade next year and I want to do character/personal development with him.  But this year we have already read both A child’s Book of Character Building.  So what do I do next year?  Any suggestions.  Also, I was hoping to have something he could read from.  So something maybe easier.. I don’t know he’s reading Dan Frontier very well if that helps.. 1st readers, and some 2nd readers.

Also, my 3rd grade son will be needing something more than Wisdom and the Millers.  Any suggestions for him also, his reading level is great for a 3rd grader.

    Thanks Misty

We have used this for some habit training this year and will use this next year. I don’t know if you are wanting a book for your child to read or not, but these are not really set up as a story so much as like a tool to discuss issues.

Like Heather, my 3rd grader has used the building on the rock  series this year & has loved it.

I really like the Miller Family series, but I don’t know that a 6 year old could read them unless he’s advanced.  http://www.rodandstaffbooks.com/item/20-55

Another thought is BF, teaching Character through Lit.   http://www.bfbooks.com/s.nl/it.A/id.477/.f?sc=2&category=2

Thanks everyone.. we do the 21 Rules of the House now so we’ll keep building on that.  The Heaven’s Hero’s looks very good for my boy.

Also, MRS.. are the BF books more younger?  Maybe more with my 1st grader?  Is that what you’re thinking?  Thanks everyone for your response.  Hoping to hear more.  Cause I like a “list” of options.  Misty

The primary pack option is for 1st-3rd.  If you click on the link it shows you books for the younger.  You read the books and then the BF guide gives you conversation ideas and lots of scriptures.  They have samples on their website.
