Is there a place to buy books from SCM users who might be done with them? I have the Middle ages handbook, but most books are not available at my library.
    Thanks,

I have purchased many by title through ebay, Amazon and betterworldbooks.  You can buy the Louise Vernon books wholesale at libraryanded.com for $5.40 each and they have the History Lives set.  They sometimes have sales and free shipping.

You could join the CMCurricula Yahoo group to purchase and sell materials.  They are a general CM book group for buying and selling, but I’d be willing to bet you could find a fair number of SCM users there.

You could also start a thread “Looking to buy module 4 books” and then just list what you need.  Of course, you’d have to provide a disguised version of you email address for people to contact you since we can’t yet PM forum members, but you would be able to negotiate one-on-one.

I use bookfinder.com to find the lowest price on used (and new) books and have bought many, many books through AbeBooks (and their various vendors).

I found some used Vernon books on Ebay.  And with Ebay, you can save your search and they’ll email you as new listings come (and what the prices are).

I have a 28 page list of new and used books for sale. There are many great living books that are out of print and hard to fine and some current. You can find the list here…

The list is sorted by popular publisher and subject. I usually try to label the books I know are used in a certain curricula, such as SCM, TruthQuest, Ambleside Online, Sonlight, etc., but I know I’ve missed some. I’ve been trying to update in my “free time”…ha! 😉

    Blessings,
