Books Similar to Christian Liberty Nature Readers

    We are fans of the Christian Liberty Nature Readers from Christian Liberty Press.  Does anyone know of similar readers (gentle, informative, Christ-centered) with other focus, e.g., History?

    SCM’s Stories of America are good as well as their Stories of the Nations.  There are others that I think are published by Christian Liberty Press which we like.  Boys and Girls of Colonial Days. Pioneers and Patriots.  I will check those titles later to see if they are right.

    The second one is American Pioneers and Patriots by Caroline D. Emerson.  Another is History Stories for Children by Dr. John Wayland. Boys and Girls of Colonial Days is by Caroline Sherwin Bailey. All three of those books are published by Christian Liberty Press.

    Me again. Years ago when I bought those there was a fourth book I bought from CLP but it was very much a textbook and not a living book. We didn’t keep that one.  I don’t remember that title though. The three I mentioned contain interesting narratives of people and events.  American Pioneers and Patriots are series of stories about fictional children set in different time periods of American history.
