Suggestions please! Can anyone suggest a living book for our camping trip? Looking for something really memorable!! American Indian, western, pioneer, or wilderness genre. We have already read … Little britches series, all of little house series, my side of the mountain series, all of Gary Paulsen’s books, most of Louis lamour . Kids ages 3 to 10 years

Oh, what fun!  We adore camping.

“Two Little Savages” by Ernest Thompson Seton came first to my mind.

My son begged for Go Wild! 101 Things to Do Outdoors Before You Grow Up by Jo Schofield and Fiona Danks. I’m sure I paid too much for it at the Mammoth Cave book shop but I have a hard time saying no to a requests for books.

Here are a few ideas that pop into my mind:

Lewis and Clark and Me: A Dog’s Tale, Laurie Myers

Jack London’s books (for the older ones)

The Bears on Hemlock Mountain, Alice Dalgliesh

The Courage of Sarah Noble, Alice Dalgliesh

Squanto, Friend of the Pilgrims, Clyde Robert Bulla
