book recommendations

    I am looking for a specific book about sundials. We are using 106 Days and I honestly do not want to get outside with the weather the way it is to make one with the kids.

    Anyother suggestions??? TIA!!

    Hi Nina,

    Not a book but I’m pretty sure you can illustrate the concept of the sundial indoors if you turn the lights down and use a flashlight in order to show how the shadow would move as the sun moves. 

    If you have “Betsy” or “Understood Betsy” I remember there being a chapter regarding a sundial in the window of her aunt and uncle’s house that my kids really enjoyed.  I’ve packed the book away but maybe someone else has it handy.
