I’m looking at the Modern Times Epistles Revelation, but need help understanding the book list. Should I be prepared to read ALL of the books listed? Or are there certain books from the list that would be used for certain grades? Or is it an either/or book option? While we’ve been CM-ing for several years and reading living books has become a vital part of our education, I’m still feeling a bit overwhelmed by the number of reads on the book list.

If you download and look at the actual sample you will see what books are required for each grade level group. You only need to purchase the family books and the books that your students will be reading for their grade group.

I read aloud the family and 1-3rd grade books to the kids (even the older ones listen in and participate in these books).

I preread the other books as needed. I have kids in 1-3rd, 4-6th and 7-9th group, but since this is our second time through the guide I only have to pre read the 7-9th because I remember the 4-6th from last cycle through and 1-3rd I read aloud. The 4-6th and 7-9th are books that the student reads on their own with either oral or written narrations presented to me.

Everyone reads the family books together then each child has their own reading list.
