Birthplace of Isaac Newton?

    I read Stories of the Nations ch 11 to my kids today and it states that isaac newton was “born in the United States the year galileo died in Italy”. Then we proceeded to start the book The Ocean of Truth:The Story of Isaac Newton and the first chapter describes his birth and early childhood in England??? So,was it a misprint? Maybe this has been discussed before and I am sorry if I am asking AGAIN but I am confused. Thanks! Wendy
