Does anyone have suggestions for a Bible for little ones that are just beginning to read? I’ve never been a fan of “children’s Bibles” because I feel like its being dumbed down, but my daughter really wants to read the Bible and mine is just too difficult for her. Thoughts?

We absolutely love “Children’s Bible Reader” put out by American Bible Society. It is easy to read, but not too easy. The illustrations are beautiful, and the price is around $20.

The Holman Standard one is very good; it’s the one mine had when they began reading on their own:

p.s it’s NOT gender neutral as the new NIV’s are.
