I was sent a link to an interesting page (via the Clickschooling newsletter, which says this resource is for ages 8-14), and it features Ancient History, World History, and British History. I haven’t dug too deeply into it, but there is a page that shows how to build a Viking longship and helmet, how to build a Motte and Bailey castle, “I Spy” guides to Norman churches and castles…..the videos mostly say “not available in your area,” so I suppose us folks outside of the UK cannot view them, but you can download the pdf’s for the activities.

    Here’s the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/forkids/

Is anyone already familiar with this? We’re currently in module 6 for history, but I’m going to save this for the next couple of years when we are studying Ancient History and might be looking for something fun to inject into our book studies.

My kids play on this site all the time.  There is also a great one on the BBC for typing and Math.  I’ll see if I can find the links.
