Just need someone to remind me that homeschool is the best and never give up!!  Today (our first day back) was AWFUL!!!! I guess it’s just the “hard to get back in the routine” thing, but today I really became anxious and self-doubting again. Teen hormones, major learning struggles, and currently record freezing temperatures here made for a rough first day back. I even went as far as to fantasize about  private christian school, round two….  Just tell me again, nobody can educate our kids better than mom and dad (even if we do not have a degree in education or Sp. Ed.!! )Cry

NOBODY can educate your kids better than you and dad with or without degrees of any kind.

Give yourself time. Ease back into a routine and give all of you a chance to regroup. I think coming back after a break at Christmas is harder than after a break in the summer.

    Hugs. It will be better.

Homeschooling is the best! Never give up! We are watching “Anne of Green Gables”, and Anne just had a “Jonah Day”.

We had a difficult day too, and as I type my fussy toddler pulls at me!

My oldest son is 19 and bought us “Anne…” as a family Christmas gift. I seriously doubt he would love these movies and our family as he does if he weren’t homeschooled:)

    It is all worth it!

I have one with major learning difficulties and I often have days when I feel what I’m doing is inadequate. But deep down, I know I’m the best one to be teaching her, because in school she will not receive one on one like she needs. I know, because she went to a Christian school in kindergarten and it didn’t go well. Don’t give up!

We’re to give thanks IN everything…maybe not necessarily FOR everything? 😉 Very thankful for my toasty fire right now especially after being out in the cold, cold world caring for animals this morning.

Praying God’s grace for you today.

It’s even below freezing here in the Sunshine State this am. 26 degrees this morning. For us, that’s insanely cold!! We’re huddled by the fire, too. However, it’s a clear, beautiful day. Honestly, I’m thankful I live here and not where it gets very cold!Wink

We’ve had an off day here.  A bit of bad attitudes all around (we’ve all been sick which hasn’t helped).  My biggest struggle today has been finding all our books, supplies, pencils, printed papers, etc.  We need 2 ping pong balls for a science experiment and I can only find one…even though I bought a six pack of them and put it up high in our science/art closet.  Frown
