Audiobooks – please help!

I have really tried to understand how people use audiobooks and how to find a good list. For some reason, I can’t seem to navigate Librivox well. So if you have the time to reply with how you use audiobooks with your kids, where you get them from and how you download them or whatever.

I found a free app called Audiobook – Kids. Anyone use it? Do I down load books to that or are there books in it already?

Finally, I’d like my kids to still have a book in their hands when they listen from time to time and follow along. Not always, but sometimes. Do you know if an audiobook on Amazon is both a hard copy and the audio file/CD? I’m looking for options for the car and home, so even books with DVDs would work I guess. I just can’t seem to figure all this out. And it’s probably super easy. So far, all I’ve done is get books w/CDs from the library because all the online stuff confuses me.

Clearly, I need a complete tutorial on this. Please help the helpless 🙂
