I noticed that both  Mods 2 and 3 now have Christine Miller’s history books. We already have her Middle Ages book, but I noticed that the Famous Men books are scheduled for mod 4. We have those, but to be honest, (and I hope I don’t sound blunt, really I don’t) I find the Miller books read so much better. We are currently doing Mod 1 in the morn as a Bible/history (LOVE IT!) and then do either AOY1 or some Unit study after breakfast. But I like Gen – Deut so much that I may consider dropping AOY2 (we are almost there) and focus more on G thru D now, saving Middle Ages for Mod 4 if the Miller book will be part of it.

http://simplycharlottemason.com/scmforum/topic/is-module-4-being-updated – this thread may answer your questions, Susie.

You would be able to sub the Miller book by counting the number of days Sonya has scheduled history in the Module and then dividing the number of chapters/pages in the Miller book by the number of days. You would then read that amount of chapters/pages per scheduled history lesson in the Module.

So say she has scheduled history 2x week for 36 weeks. That is 72 lessons. Say there are 129 chapters of the Miller (I am just throwing that out as an example!). So dividing 129 by 72 is roughly 1 1/2 chapters per lesson, which would be easy to adjust according to the chapters as you are reading them.

(I am really tired, so I hope that I made sense. Hahaha – I always do in my head!) =)

Yes, that made perfect sense.  Thank you very much! I am off to read the thread now. 🙂
