Are there CM mentors or consultants

I have so many thoughts bouncing around in my head about how to teach my two boys who will be 7 and 10 this summer. Specifically what to use within the CM boundries and how to structure my day. I think I just need someone to look at what we are doing and say yes that is enough of the schooly type stuff and this is enough of the beautiful love of learning type stuff. We are winding up 3 very stressful years with Autism spectrum diagnosis, food allergies, myself having an auto immune disorder, moving twice and other things. Sometimes I wonder if I need to be doing more for my children’s education. Summer

I know that Sandi Queen does consultations. She’s a great CM resource and many people that use SCM seem to supplement with some of her materials. you can find her at http://www.queenhomeschool.com

I also know that Timberdoodle.com has a website with lots of resources for autism.

    Hi Summer,

The great thing about SCM’s main site info and forum, is that it feels like we already have our own private consultant. 🙂

The SCM curriculum guide will give you some good CM ‘what-to-use’ ideas and Sonyas “Planning Your CM Education” will give you some good ‘how-to-schedule’ ideas.

Everyone here is so helpful, and I’m sure you’ll find the answers you seek.

    Blessings,

    Heather

I just wanted to chime in and say that we used Queen’s Language and copy work books this year and could not have been more pleased. Their nature study selections are wonderful also. They are a perfect fit to SCM.
