My ds isn’t interested in lapbook type projects, either, (actually he’d rather pull his hair out one by one). But this last year we only used binder paper and he wrote out the answers to the On Your Own questions, etc., but didn’t write out the questions so he had to go back and forth to find the question when it was time to study. Plus, I did a poor job on making sure he had enough lab sheets, etc. There is a touch of what looks like “lapbooking” pages and he will probably skip those unless he finds them useful, but he won’t be making a “lapbook” out of them. He may just write in the space given and use them to study with. He is not the artsy type, either, but I needed something for him that looks a bit more like a workbook to go along with the text.
And, I needed something that would be in one binder, by itself, that looks like it’s suppose to be there to keep him from taking them out as he’s cleaning his binder
. In the end, it looked as if he hadn’t done anything. I don’t want that happening again this year.
