Has anyone taught this course successfully before? We are having an enormously difficult time with it after just breezing through regular physics and I need to pick a brain or two; we are about to give up and try Saxon Physics for the modules we are missing.

Michelle, we did not get on with it at all – so my daughters switched to Marine Biology and the other to Equine Management, Biology and Nutrition a course I got in England. Sorry no help, except to say we found it extremely difficult and challenging to implement after the regular courses that came before. Linda

Whew, I’m glad to hear it. I was afraid our collective IQ’s had gone down a lot, lol. I tried contacting the company for help and they seem to not have very good customer service now–I got an email from the man teaching the online class who couldn’t understand why we were having trouble, and who sent me a 14 page errata sheet and thinks that explained it all.
This joshes with our experience–the text seemed confusing to us, and often the practice problems and test questions have seemed to not quite jive with the material in the chapters and with the answers in the TM. I think we are jumping ship and I’ll not recommend this one. Sigh. They don’t really want to do any biology or chemistry electives, so I think we’ll try Saxon Physics and see if we can fill in some of our holes. Thanks for the feedback!

I e-mailed a dad from our homeschool group who works for Apologia, but haven’t heard back yet. Doesn’t sound like it will help much, but I’ll let you know if he replies:) Gina
