Any Nashville CM support groups?

    I don’t know what is up with my PMs. OK, well, anyway, I can’t make it that day. Frown We will be away that day. Trying to be vague here, but no day would have worked that week for us.

    I want to try and meet up with y’all if you plan another day. I have a 7YO DS, 6YODD and 2YO DD that would fit in well with your age kids! I also have three older sons: 13, 12 and 10. I would probably find something else for them to do that day unless someone else ends up joining us with older ones. But I’d love to meet up with y’all another time with my younger three.

    Does anyone else who might go have older children too? What about the zoo or science center? Any of y’all have annual passes to those?

    Please let me know if y’all plan something else when you meet on the 18th. I would love to do it another time!

    Andrea, got your PM.  LDI, sorry you can’t make it!  We have a zoo membership but not science center.  I’m sure we can plan something else 🙂

    I hope to be there!  LDI mom, I sent you a pm but don’t know that you received it.  I go to many of the Nature Center weekday programs they have for either preschoolers or 6-12yo.  Please pm me if you are going sometime and if possible we can plan to have a picnic lunch with you and your dc.  I’ll be there this coming Friday for a program and plan to stay for lunch and for the kids to play afterward, weather permitting.

    I just found this post. I know it’s been a while, but is there some sort of meeting going on, and are you looking for/ accepting new families?

    I am in the Mt. Juliet area, about 25 minutes east of Nashville, and would love to connect with some fellow CMers. I have a 6YO ds and a 2YO ds.  We are on our second year of using the Charlotte Mason method and are absolutely loving it!

    I am close to Nashville and have 1 year old boy and an almost 4 year old boy.I was home schooled so I knew that’s what I wanted to do for kids, from the start. I looked at so many curriculum and methods until I found Charlotte Mason,I was so thrilled because I had found what exactly what I was looking for. I have been looking into Charlotte Mason for a few years now and have been reading her books. I absolutely love her ideas towards education and have tried to implement them as best as I can. However I would love to come and observe a Charlotte Mason Homeschooling Day with another Family that hat has kids in the School age range. If anyone might be interested in this please let me know, this would be such a blessing to me and I think it would give my husband more peace of mind about homeschooling this way. 🙂 Thank you.

    I am in the Lebanon, TN area and this is my 5th year of homeschooling the CM way.  We have a 9YO and a 4YO (4th and K).  We have a FB group called Charlotte Mason Home Educators of Middle Tennessee which you are more than welcome to join.  We began with CM in K and I couldn’t imagine teaching any other way.  Message me if you want to chat and perhaps get together. You would be more than welcome to come and see what our day looks like.  I don’t claim to be an expert in CM but I think what we do works well and could be easily implemented or adjusted.  CM really fosters a love of learning and when you see your kids begin making those “connections” it is such an encouragement to keep going.   Blessings, Zelena

    Thank you so much, what a blessing! Yes I would love to get together,I live in Gallatin, so we are just up the road from you. I am not sure how to PM on here and I don’t have a FB account. I am pretty flexible on my schedule, so if there is a time and place you want me meet that would be great.

    Hmm, I am a lotta bit south of Nashville but it is the closest big city.  Anyone in the Lawrenceburg area?  Maybe Columbia?  So far I haven’t been able to locate any homeschool support groups, much less CM, in the Lawrenceburg area.  We’ve only lived here about a year though.

    We have many CM families in our Facebook group that are from the Franklin/Columbia/Lawrenceburg area.  It is Charlotte Mason Home Educators of Middle Tennessee.  I believe that some of the families get together, there are book clubs, and many go on nature outings.  It’s also a great place to ask questions and find out about CM-friendly events in the Nashville-Mid TN area.
