Any Nashville CM support groups?

    Can anyone tell me if there is a CM support group of some kind meeting in the Nashville, TN area?

    I’m looking for a CM group in Nashville too. Have you had any luck finding one?

    Ladies, I lead two groups in Jacksonville, FL. One group, Learning with Charlotte, is a CM Book Study group of moms only. The other, River City Homeschool Adventures, is a co-op of 25-30 families. That is of no use to you, of course. However, should you ever want some help in starting something on your own, let me know and I’ll share whatever info. I can to help. 

    I do have a passion for CM groups.

    I know there is a Carole Joy Seid group in Hendersonville I think? If you aren’t familiar with CJS, she advocates CM methods through learning through literature. I can find a contact for you if you wish.

    You know we are outside of Nashville. I haven’t found a CM group except one that is for Moms to meet. I am looking more for something like Christie does in her area.

    Since there are at least 3 of us here, maybe we should plan a meet-up with kids? If either of you have zoo or science center passes, we could even meet there one day.

    Make that 4 of us! My DC are 14 in a week, 12, 10, 7, 6, and 2.

    Also, Edwin Warner Nature Center or Granny White Park are good meeting places for picnics and free play for the kids.  I’m also in the Nashville area.

    Yes! Let’s get a date on the calendar for the Nature Center. That would be a great place for kids to have a place to play and moms to visit. I’ll throw out a date. what about Tuesday September 18th? Would a morning be possible? My younger one still naps in the afternoon. Also, Christie, what can you tell us about your groups?

    Today was our first co-op meeting of the year and it was terrific! We started with our family fine arts class (John Williams, Maya Angelou, It Is Well with My Soul, Georgia O’Keefe, Ive been working on the railroad) and moved right along to our next two hours of classes. Afterwards many of us headed to a local park for lunch and masterly inactivity.
