So my oldest will be in 4th grade next year and I will have a 1st grader and kindergartener as well.  We started Truthquest in January and it is going well, but I love the idea of the SCM modules including history, Bible and Geography together.  I just don’t know which module to choose.  This is my oldest’s 3rd year of American History, though we’ve never gotten past George Washington/ Ben Frankin before.  Should I just start with module 1? …or maybe 4 since that would be the proper year of the cycle?  If I chose 4, then (if schooling them together) the youngers would be back in early modern times in 2 years.  What do you recommend?

    Thanks!!

I would choose the module you think your family would most enjoy.  If you use any other parts of the SCM curic. guide, I would take that into account since often times the hymns, composers, artists, will neatly coincide with the modules.  If you start with 4, your eldest will be in American History again shortly.  If you start with 1, you are right at the beginning of history which just makes sense for me though some families choose to not expose their younger ones to the ancients with the false gods till they are older.  That would have to be a personal choice for your family.  If you continue with SCM guides through the years, it doesn’t really matter where you start since your oldest will get through all modules once and three of them twice.
