Browsing for ideas and came across this blog that has some great projects for those of us who are in the ancients. If you are looking for something fun to add to your study you might find something here. http://creeksidelearning.com/hands-on-history/story-of-the-world/

Thanks!!  This looks great.  I wanted to get Hands and Hearts this year but just couldn’t afford it.  This will give me some good ideas that we can do instead.  Now I just need some time to do some actually planning before we start school in two weeks.

We just finished History Pockets: Ancient Civilizations.  It’s relatively inexpensive, under $15 and provided us 2 years worth of projects.  I blogged about it here….http://reflectionsfromdrywoodcreek.blogspot.com/2012/08/history-pockets-ancient-civilizations.html  Also, our library system in WI carries some of the History Pocket books so we can check them out at no cost.

Evan-Moor is the publisher…we have several of these workbooks/activity books. I plan to use this one with our study this year, too. I may not have my kids complete the whole project, but they may want to, which is okay too.
