Among the people for year 0

    I am planning a very light year 0 for my DD, she will be 5 when we start. The plan includes all the fun “extras” plus reading and slowly starting math. Our “history” is reading through the Little House books. When I calculated time eac day on school, including afternoon tea time (which we already do) at the absolute max it is 1 hr a day.

    For science/nature I was planning on reading 2x a week a chapter from Among the ____People, and doing 1-2 nature walks a week. Will 2x a week be a good amount? They aren’t included in any of the AO or SCM years so I thought they would be great since we wouldn’t have to worry about repeating them for a different year.

    Sounds good to me!

    What I also like w/5 year is going to the library for story hour, especially if that includes a craft.

    And getting together w/kids the same age, well all different ages is mostly what happens!!
