Do you ladies have any suggestions for some good books on Alexander the Great for 1st and second graders? Suggestions for a read aloud would be great too, as long as it is high interest for the younger ages.

We have The Great Alexander the Great. I am not sure if it is out of print, but I had no problem finding an affordable used copy, and the library may have it too. I think this would be good for that age.

That’s the one I was going to suggest. There is a Landmark, too, but I would opt for the other if you can find it for the ages you have.

It has beautiful pictures and the story is just enough for that age.
