106 DOC Scheduling Question

    I will be doing 106 DOC in the fall with a 1st and 3rd grader.  I have been reading through the older children lessons and I am wondering if you guys schedule the extra work as another time in the day?  Or do you do the family lesson and then let the older kids immediately do their extra work.  This is the first year I will be adding extra for older kids in multiple subjects so I just need to know how to go about it.

    I usually let them do it right then, but I also usually end my part of the day with Science so it doesn’t make my family subjects drag on all day.
