Leaf Collections

A leaf collection is a fairly easy nature project. Simply collect leaves from different trees and place them on pieces of card stock. Write on the card stock the name of the tree the leaf belongs to, where you found it, and any other information you want to record. Then cover the card stock with clear contact paper.

Feel free to embellish the card stock before you cover it with contact paper if you want to. The example below was decorated with water-color pencils and strips of colored paper.

Don’t forget to collect leaves from both deciduous and coniferous trees. You can also collect the fruit from trees and display them with the appropriate leaves.
