Would you attend an SCM 2-day Seminar in St Louis or Chicago?

@my3boys, I hear ya! Although Chicago is only 5.5 hours from us, as opposed to 9 hours to St. Louis, the distance & hotel costs would be prohibitive for me. *Sigh*

Now, if there was one in northeast Ohio….I hesitate to even suggest it, because I know I don’t have the time to organize that myself. Again, *sigh*

Here’s another suggestion for some of you. If you don’t have a venue and are unsure of attendance, try planning a DVD seminar. Buy the booklets from SCM and then you lead by starting and stopping the DVD in appropriate places. No, it isn’t as good or as fun as in person, but it is encouraging, educational and inspiring all the same. I’ve done the All Day Seminar on DVD many, many times. On DVD, you can charge the cost of materials so that you aren’t out the money.

Sue, I’m not the SCM team, but I can say that I’ve never offered that when I’ve hosted.

Question: if someone hosted a DVD Seminar as Christie suggested above, would SCM do anything special for those who might want to order dvd’s & other SCM materials during the DVD Seminar? Like, maybe a special sale or free shipping for orders placed through the DVD Seminar hostess on those dates?

One of the things you could do is organize your group to order some items in bulk through the website. We automatically apply discounts for bulk orders of most items. If you order 10 or more of a single item you get a 10% discount. If you order 20 or more you get a 20% discount. And having one big order shipped to a central location would have a much lower shipping cost than individual orders.

Has anyone thought of doing a live internet event? I am not sure what kind of equipment that would entail but it could save a lot of driving!
