Oh to have a community co-op situation like you have, missceegee. That would such a blessing. I would love to just have something where we get together with others fo poetry, artist, composer, hymns, folksongs, pe, and skakespeare. I am putting together a small book club for some teens. We will read a book every 6 weeks or so and then get together at the local coffee house to discuss. But, oh to have a group of moms that all get the CM approach and would want to do what you have. I guess I know what I am adding to my prayer time!!!
Benita, RCHA is a tremendous blessing to our family and the others involved. Do pray about it, but if you feel led to start something a good resource is http://www.charlottemasonincommunity.com and I love to help others on this path. Many CM communities are small, 4-10 families or so. My group is quite large. Next year will be our 6th year and we have 23 families planning to attend co-op. I prefer 20-25 families. Our 2nd year, I had 50+ families and that was INSANE!!!
I realize how behind I am in my planning at the moment compared to usual and I’m trying not to panic!
Bible-begin Bible study with Mom using How to Manage Your Mouth for Kids and Character Trait Bible studies from Confessions of a Homeschooler

If we do it, it will be 3-4x. Either Daily Grammar from Schoolhouseteachers.com or The World of Language series by Ruth Heller as explained by Dollie (teachersofgoodthings). If we do any writing, we will use Lego writing prompts and buddy writing to prepare for written narrations

I am in love with the charlottemasonincommunity site! Where has it been all my life?!;)
Thank you for sharing it. I am quite impressed with what your group does. What a blessing. I have been given much to ponder and pray about.
Right now thinking that I would like to start a group that meets and discussing Charlotte’s writings. As much as I would like to leap right into the thck of it, I know that I don;t have enough parents around me that really grasp CM philosophy and that is a must if this is to work.
The site is new and is the brainchild of Jenn Stec from KY. She leads a discussion group and a co-op there – http://www.cminthebluegrass.weebly.com. I hope to see it be a great resource to CM groups.
