OK, I am VERY sympathetic to the protest to stop the stupid SOPA legislation–the bill is a TERRIBLE idea. But why, oh, why does Wikipedia have to go blacked out on artist-study day?  Couldn’t they have picked another day?  I use Wiki for my Carl Larsson since I was unable to track down a book.  Guess I need to go hunt up another site.  Sigh.

I am able to search on Wiki, too…..

Oh, no, I take that back! I was able to search for ONE thing and then I got blacked out on future searches.

Wow. Wiki is really making their point with that, aren’t they?!

Okay, I typed the following into my Yahoo search box: artista Carl Larsson wikipedia. Then, I clicked on “show only artista Carl Larsson wikipedia” at the top of my results….then, clicked on the link for Carl Larsson – Viquipèdia, and it brought up the Wikipedia page for this. My browser offers to translate, so I had it translate the page from Catalan to English, and there was the page, ready to read.

There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of information on that page, though.

The same thing happened to me today (looking up something for art study too even  LOL) —-I was able to use the “cached” page though and it came up. I’m sure you’ve moved on by now…..but if you need it in the future, try a cached page.
