I’ve used CTC Math. It’s an on-line math course taught by a man with an awesome Australian accent. It isn’t expensive, the kids have access to all the grade levels, not just the one year they’re currently in. There are some words that we don’t use (lollies,) but we as parents can translate for the kids. It isn’t as intense as Horizons or some other big names out there, but I don’t think the littles really need intense and super thorough at their young ages.
I used Math Mammoth with my youngest from 1st – 5th grades, then switched to TT. It was perfect for him and I would have switched sooner, but he kept saying he didn’t want to switch and didn’t want to do it on the computer. He loves TT now tho.
We loved CLE Math for grade 1 and 2, especially with the flashcards, and especially for how well this program divides guided versus independent work. Two of my children were ready to go directly into TT4 after completing Grade 2 CLE Math.
