Do I want to get “The Greenleaf Guide to Famous Men of the Middle Ages” or “Famous Men of the Middle Ages (Greenleaf Press)”…or are they the same book, and I’m just over-thinking??? 😉
They are both published by Greenleaf Press, but you’d want the Famous Men of the Middle Ages because it has the stories in it. The guide just has some questions in it to aid in narration if you want to use them
For more choices – This book is also published by Memoria Press (same stories, different typeset and color pictures. I prefer this one for some reason.) and it’s available free online here from the Baldwin Project.
Last night when I was poking around on Greenleaf Press’s site, I came across this explanation of the differences between their Famous Men books and the originals. Since we’ve discussed that question, I thought that information might be helpful to everybody. So here it is!
Sonya, that is a good explanation. Here is one from Memoria Press outlining the differences between the Greenleaf and MP versions –
What is the difference between the new Memoria Press Famous Men of the Middle Ages and the old Greenleaf edition?
The stories are essentially the same, but with our editing. In the Memoria Press Famous Men Series, we also have added Improved Images and a Glossary of People and Places.
The Baldwin Project online version, is, I believe, the original.
