I am preparing to start ‘Genesis – Deuteronomy & Ancient Egypt.’ In shopping (on Amazon) for ‘Then & Now Bible Maps’ I found a spiral bound, published in 1997; but I also found a Deluxe book with a CD-ROM (I’ll be honest, I don’t think I would use the CD that comes with it, unless the guide suggested it) and then I also saw a newer book by the same publisher entitled ‘Rose Then and Now Bible Map Atlas’.
I am assuming that the edition published in 1997 is the one that the lesson plans are referencing, but I wanted to check in to confirm before I purchase anything.
I have that guide and it uses the original one from 1994. Although I never purchased one, I found online free printable bible maps for kids. They don’t use the maps for every lesson, only the big ones like the exodus of the Israelites , Or Abraham’s journey things like that. I would print out the map for that lesson and let them color it while I read to them. We would hang it up and refer back to it throughout that time. When it came to another map we would put it in our bible map folder and start again. I have tried to use the maps from checking them out at the library before and with my younger kids but it wasn’t as clear and easy to “see” with all the layovers and differentcolor
lines going here and there. They got confused.
