Planning Your Charlotte Mason Education or All-Day Charlotte Mason Seminar on DVD?

They look very similiar!!  I have several children- ages 3-15, and last year was our first year as Charlotte Mason users through AO- but I still feel fairly clueless- and was looking for more intro help- and for my husband who wants to be proactively invlolved.  Which DVD is a better one for us to get?

The All Day CM Seminar is basically a wonderful introduction to the CM style so if you are still unsure about what it is then that is a good place to start.  If you are already familiar with the various facets of the CM approach (living books, narration, nature study, etc) then I would suggest the Plannning your Charlotte Mason Education dvd (I have them both).  It is a wonderful resource and makes the planning process so simple!  They are both excellent, but I think the Planning one is more practical over the long run if you have already chosen to use the CM approach to learning.

I would have a really hard time picking just one.  Smile  The planning one helps me do the step  by step process of putting our school year together and the all day seminar helps me in how to present the material of each subject.   Last year was our first year to fully incorporate CM methods as well;  I used the planning dvd and the SCM organizer.  I just purchased the all day seminar about a month ago and was thinking to myself how wonderful it would’ve been to have had it at the beginning of last year.

    Kristen,

If money is an issue , you can purchase just the book for planning purposes.  It even comes in an e-book format which is really affordable.  I only have the book and it is quite useful and easy to understand without having a DVD.  The all day seminar will be invaluable information over the long term as well.  Maybe that DVD set and the planning book will be an affordable option.
