I would like to include a biography on John Muir and talk about each park some. We have a large coffee table book with lots of pictures of our National Parks I can include. I do not expect memorization of all the parks, but a familiarity and appreciation. Would this fit as geography or science, as geology, plants, animals, or where? Do you suggest any other living books?

    And their website is nps.gov.

We are reading The Camping Trip That Changed America by Barb Rosenstock next year. Year 1 with ds6. The book is a picture book – one reading, but gives the story of Roosevelt and Muir meeting, camping and remaining in touch through letters as they worked to bring the National Parks to their beginnings.

We are doing Module One next year, but spending 1 month in term 2 on North American History, so that is where it fits for us. You could fit it in any of the subjects you mentioned.
