When should I start a Book of Centuries with my 6-year-old? He loves facts and data, and he’s visual, so I was thinking he may enjoy seeing his newly-learned facts written in their correct time frame, but I read that Charlotte started it with her students later on, maybe 5th or 6th grade. Any ideas on whether I should wait, or just go ahead and dive in now?

Start a family BOC and when he is older he can start his own. I have a family BOC that I am in charge of, but do it with the kids, and my oldest has her own that she started this year and as each of the kids get older they will start their own as I continue the family BOC

We do the same as Sarah.  My 5th, 7th, and 9th graders have their own books.  My BOC is basically the family book.  We also have a family wall timeline similar to the one sold at River Bend Press.
