    south of Colorado Springs CO here. barely 1/2″ snow, -5 or so. 0 all day.  Kids have been sad to not go outside in a few days, feeding warm oatmeal and warm water to chickens in their coop with lamp on, kids have shot their cap gun out the doggie door since they couldn’t go out.  On Monday when it was actually snowing they bundled up and went and layed in the grass with the tiny bit of snow coming down on top of them – to make snowangels which ended up being mud/grass angels!  Lots of baking, read alouds and tea breaks here.

    Here in Northeast MS (about 2 hrs from Amanda J; halfway between Oxford and Tupelo) we are having snow (our fourth since Christmas Day). The public schools around here are 3-5 days behind and wondering how they’re going to catch up. We’re not behind; I wonder why that is?
