You can print a free book of centuries (timeline) from this page on Simply Charlotte Mason. 3 hole punch and put in a binder. Children over 4th grade can do their own (entering people and events as the learn about them) and younger children can have mom help keep a “family” book of centuries. So paper, ink, and some binders for that.
For history itself we use more paper for the children to write or draw their narrations, which they do 1 or more times a week, the rest of narrations at our house are oral. Something to write or color with. A binder or hanging file folder to put finished papers in to keep.
The books to read.
A blank outline map of the area for Geography Map Drill – Egypt and Africa for Module 1 – this is printed new each week for each child participating. learn more about it here. We bought a wall map of the area we’re doing for map drill (Europe for Module 4) too.
