What is "revised" about some of Mike Venezia's "Getting to Know the World's

  • I was planning to pick up a few of Mike Venezia’s “Getting to Know the World’s Greatest Artists/Composers” books in an online order tonight, but noticed that some are being re-released as “revised” editions. Some of these revised editions are just out, like Van Gogh, and same have pre-orders and future release dates on Amazon. I tried hunting around for what “revised” means… aside from the obligatory splash of “exciting new content!” and the dollar price increase…but nothing of value.

I’m wondering if I should wait and get “revised” or if this is a case of “older is better” — not sure if anyone here even reads these, but I’d appreciate any insights anyone has. Thanks!

We have enjoyed a few of his books.  I have only borrowed them from the library, though, so I do not know anything about the revised versions.  Please share here when you do find out something.  Thanks! (sorry I wasn’t much help!)

We enjoyed some of these, but some of them were bawdy and too graphic for the age group they are intended for. Here is hoping that the revised editions aim for higher things!
