What about outlining?

    I’m just wondering how outlining and notetaking fit into a CM education. I have been having my 8th grader outline her science chapter (textbook) each week and give me an oral narration. So what do other people do with note taking and outlining.

    I am just showing my 6th grader how to outline this year.  I am having her “plan” our Nature studies and write out an outline for them.  No narration involved with that though.

    I taught it with the articles and info. from Year 5 Charlotte Mason Help – files section on the yahoo group.
