I have recently read on here that someone did a cloud study for a season with her children.  If that was you will you be willing to share some ideas/resources?  Thank you for your help.

Was it Bookworm in the science post? Her point was to make sure they do a thorough narration and really know the material, including how to identify clouds.

I would think any weather book would have it. What ages are your children? I need something for elementary, but I like the looks of Eric Sloane’s weather books and I am not sure if it would work at those ages.

My children are 12 and 16.  I don’t want to lose touch with the “real”world.  I would like to do a cloud study, to learn weather patterns and forecasting and after that a study of the night sky, basic constellations, north star, etc.  We have done this in the past but I want to be more thorough and do more “technical” journaling.   Skills such as these are becoming lost in our techy society and I don’t want my children to be the “last children in the woods”.
