I know CM prefers for us to be out IN nature, but here is a live web cam that shows brown bears fishing for salmon. It is fun to see their perseverance and precarious perches.
The most we’ve seen on the screen at once was 17, but that included a mom with three cubs. Now today there is a second mom with three cubs. So cute, but I fear the littlest of each set is not going to make it through the winter. A fabulous way to introduce this concept. My dd6 and I discussed it for almost an hour yesterday. Thanks again for this link, Katrina!
Katrina- Are you guys obsessed with Alaskana the way we are? You’d think after 13 years we’d be kind of over it, but we are still giddy to see bears, whales, caribou, Dall sheep, mountain goats, etc. We just love it all!
Jenni, YES! After 14 years, we still love seeing the big critters. We love to ID animal tracks, and having little people has helped us slow down and notice small things, too. 🙂
