Anybody know of a good video showing formation of different types of rocks? My 8 year old is really having trouble grasping the process. It seems so simple to me that I am having a hard time explaining it. I will show her when we are at the park Wednesday, but I would love to show her something today if possible while the reading is fresh. Thanks! Oh, I am specifically talking about sedimentary rocks.
My 12yo did a science fair project on crystals, and we looked at tons of books….only found one or two videos, though. The one we did borrow from the library was called, All about rocks & minerals. It’s by Schlessinger Media. She said she thought it would be appropriate for ages 6-10, and I tend to agree. It was a little young for her, but it gave her an idea or two on how to explain some of her information.
The video is about 25 minutes in length. If you’d like, I can go back & see what books she felt were most helpful.
