Are any of you successfully using the history modules with a high schooler(s)?

How do you do things? Do you read the Bible/history to your older(s) or do they work independently out of the guide?

How do your typical days look?

    Thank you!

I am using this with my 9th grade daughter, and I am also working with 3 special needs kids. I do read aloud the Bible portion with all of the kids. Because some of my children aren’t mature enough to handle all of the ancient history info., I have my daughter do her reading independently. If I have a book that I think is appropriate for my other children, then I will read that aloud.

We do scripture memory, art, music, and nature study together. My daughter works independently with math and language arts.

    Hope that helps.

Sorry, I’ve been busy this weekend and haven’t been able to be online much.

I do have a high schooler and a jr. high age student, and we do read the books selected in the modules. Here is what we typically do: as a family we do basic Bible reading and a few basic books read aloud together. But then I expect my older two to do a lot of reading on their own, too. They can go “digging deeper” with their scripture reading since I have taught them to use concordances and other study aids. And they have the more difficult books to read on their own. They then narrate to me, either orally or written.
