Urgent calls needed by 5pm today to end Federal funding for Common Core

“No, This isn’t an Aril Fool’s Day joke. Brave members of Congress are actually pushing to eliminate all federal funding for the Common Core State Standards Initiative. And we need your urgen phone calls to help make this happen. “

“The deadline for members of the House and Senate to sign onto these letters to the Appropriations Commitees 5pm, Thursday, April 3. It is crucial that you contact your United States /OR/ federal representative and two U.S. senators as soon as possible and urge them to sign onto this letter. The more members who sing onto to these letters, the more likely it is that Congress will act to end federal support for the Common Core.”

“I strongly oppose the Common Core Standards, and do not want the federal government using federal funds to support this controversial program. Please sign onto the Grassley letter (if you are calling your senators) or the Steve King letter ( if you are calling you U.S. Representative) to members of the Appropriations Commitee which urges Congress to end federal funds in support of the Common Core. States, not the federal government, should decide what is best for their education system”
