Hi to you all….just a quick update…we have as yet not moved to the UK, and have not even got our house on the market yet….life as always has thrown us curve balls…and we are working through those now before we can move forward. Unfortunately one of my daughters had an accident that now requires 8 weeks of physical therapy three times a week…and my husband too is now having to undergo medical testing for stomach issues…and is waiting to see a GI doctor for further testing to see what is going on if anything…these things have thrown a wrench into our plans and everything is up in the air right now…we were already planning October as a move having extended from September, but now that looks too soon, and we don’t think the job will wait for us…so we may end up having to stay…I would appreciate any prayers you have for our family…and as you can imagine I am very busy trying to keep on with the move in case it happens and caring for family members….as such I have little time for letter writing or being online….and rarely spend any time on the internet at all at the moment…but I thought I would let you know what was happening because I am sure some of you must think we were already in the UK. Hopefully one day we will be, but not right this minute. So hope all is going well with everyone’s school year and I will let you know in the future what is happening and if we made it overseas…Blessings to all….Linda
Thanks for the update, Linda. I will be praying for you and your family, trusting in God’s will and perfect timing for you. Take good care of yourself and your family. Blessings.
That is the one thing that keeps us going….we know God has the perfect timing and not us…we know that things will happen as and when they are supposed to according to His plan…so it is always good to remember that when the natural frustrations occur and arise…thank you for your prayers they mean a lot…
Hi Linda….oh my, I’m so sorry to hear about more health issues. That has to get very hard and frustrating. I’m praying for your peace and the health of you and all your family. My quiet time in Jesus Calling today reminds me of your situation….I pray you continue to feel His Love and Presence in the midst of crazy life circumstances. Please do keep us posted. Blessings, Gina
Jesus Calling
“I am the God of all time and all that is. Seek Me not only in the morning quietness but consistently throughout the day. Do not let unexpected problems distract you from My Presence. Instead, talk with me about everything, and watch confidently to see what I will do.
Adversity need not interrupt your communion with Me. When things go ‘wrong,’ you tend to react as if you’re being punished. Instead of this negative response, try to view difficulties as blessings in disguise. Make Me your Refuge by pouring out your hear to Me, trusting Me at all times.”
Linda, it is so great to hear from you! I sure thought you were in UK already! I’m sorry that things haven’t worked out how you’d hoped, and I’m even sorrier (more sorry??) to hear about your dd and husband. I pray healing over your family! Please let us know what happens to your sweet family in the future!
Thank you all for the words – it is so encouraging…I have missed the forum, but I am so swamped most of the time now and on Monday I have a procedure myself at the hospital, so it is all go here : )) I appreicate all the comments and the prayers and I will let you know what happens and if we are able to leave in the end or if circumstances force us to stay…whatever happens it is God’s will and plan and I accept that…….thanks again, wishing you all many blessings too….
Linda, I was just thinking of your yesterday and how much I missed your posts. I said a little prayer for you then and will say some bigger ones for you know. Please keep us posted, pal.
I, too, thought of you the other day! Someone checked out a Lamplighter. :). Praying for your family, Linda. God does all things for His glory and our good and His timing is perfect.
Thanks Jenni and Robin, appreciate the prayers s much. Robin so happy that my Lamplighters are being enjoyed in your library..that makes me smile. Yes, God does work things for our good and I truly believe that…so if we don’t go this time, I am sure there is a different plan in the future that will be better for us. Jenni, hope you are doing really well and have had a good summer?
Linda, I’ll be praying for you. Your biblical attitude towards the circumstances is an encouragement to me. This hymn has been a balm to my weary soul during a particularily trying year.
Thanks Jenny, what a wonderful hymn and how encouraging that is…I appreciate you sharing it with me and everyone here…over the years I have come to see that the plans that we expect to happen often go awry, and at the time it seemed terribly disappointing but later on something better came along, or something that was better for us….so I trust, and that is an important thing. I spent some time a year ago looking back over my life, I am now in my fifties and I saw clearly the things that had worked out for the best, the mistakes we had made, and how in the end we were blessed…maybe not in the way we thought, but in a way that was good…so I don’t get so discouraged now. It is easy to forget to look back and see where these things have happened in your own lives…but if you do, you will see the silver lining in clouds : ))) Thank you again…
