I have purchased one or two of the recommended sticker books and although I think you could get along without them they are pretty neat. The stickers are labeled with facts in part of the book and labeled without the sticker in another part of the book. You remove it (the sticker) from one page and find its labeled shadow on another page. Of course, depending on your child you may skip it as it is labeled optional in the 106 Day’s, so that’s up to you. My 7 yo REALLY likes (loves) stickers/bugs, etc. so I definitely got a book for him (maybe two different one’s) but my 11 yo (10 at the time) passed. My 4 yo (3 at the time) really didn’t NEED one so I passed on him and just made it something special for my middle boy.
We are doing 106 Day’s right now, actually finishing up Day 6 and we have used most of the optional recommendations, but certainly not all. You have to consider your family’s interests and budget in things like stickers and just pass if they really don’t seem important. You could just splurge on one sticker book but then pass on the rest since you’ll know what they’re all about after the first one. We got our’s from amazon or maybe Rainbow Resource. HTH
