…The planning a Charlotte Mason Education workbook and DVD, is what I was referencing in my previous question and just realized I didn’t include that part, apologies.
What did you think about the Learning and Living set?
I am new to this way of teaching, we will be starting with simply charlotte mason and charlotte mason ways the end of summer, and I can use all the information I can on items before I purchase them (I hate buying something and it not really being of use)
I own the learning and Living set. I love it! I just watched a couple of the DVDs last week. It is great for an overall feel of what CM looks like in a home. Sonya is so good a explaining in a way that the newbe can understand and a veteran can learn from.
I own the Planning a CM Education set and I NEEDED it when I was planning this year! It was so helpful to me because I did my own thing and essentially combined the book lists for Modules 1 – 3 (we did all Ancient History this year). So I needed something to help me figure out how many chapters of each book to read each day, etc.
The Planning a CM Ed. book walks you through the process of figuring out how many books you can realistically work through in a year. I may not really NEED to use it for next year, because I’m purchasing the Module 4 book – but it’s still helpful to me in that it makes me put down on paper what books I hope to use; how long each book will take; and helps me figure it all out.
(I should add that I LOVE the planning part of school, so something like the Planning Your CM Ed is right up my alley! *L*)
I just wanted to say that you can watch sample videos of all of these DVDs on youtube. 🙂 They might be helpful in deciding whether or not they will be a blessing to your homeschool.
