Moms that want to get in on the meeting to discuss possibilities of what can be done to meet the needs of the CM families scattered around the Twin Cities and beyond, I have some dates to suggest. They are Tuesdays and Thursdays in April. April 15, 17, 22, or 24. Would one of those evenings work? We’ll go with the majority. Then I will attempt to find a fair location for everyone to meet at. The meeting can just be fun, getting-to-know-you too! 🙂 Which of those dates, in the evening, would work best for you?
I wish I could meet up with you guys, but my “morning” sickness happens in the late afternoons/evenings. I wouldn’t be much help. LOL I can’t commit to anything else right now, but I’d love to know what you guys are doing so the option is there when I can!
I would love to meet up! I have four boys that will be 6.5, 5, 3, and 1 next school year. Any of those dates work for me so far. We are in Bloomington.
Hello all! I was just notified of this thread by the gal who runs the great CM group down in Windom, MN. She also runs the Living Education Retreat, if you are familiar with that. I have attended the last 5 retreats and have patterned my CM schooling off of what I have learned there. My eldest is in 4th grade and we have been using CM methods from the beginning. At the Living Education Retreats I learned about their Co-op in SW MN and have used their ideas to start my own. Our Co-op has been up and running now for almost 4 years. We live in Woodbury and I host our CM co-op twice a month. We also have a once a month CM book discussion and support group already in place. I’d like to offer our Book discussion to all of you. We meet the second Monday of each month at my home. This month’s meeting will be on April 14th at 7:00 pm. WE meet for about 2 hours. I’d be happy to use our time this month to disuccs ways for you all to meet one another if you’d like to use out meeting time for that purpose this month. OUr group has helped plant about 4 other CM co-ops in the Twin Cities, so I’d be happy to help you contact the other groups if you want or need a co-op as well. My living room is fairly large and I’m happy to host centralized meeting periodically. I’d love to help any of you out as well if you need resources or support! Here’s our website for our co-op and Book Group. It isn’t updated right now cause I have a very ACTIVE 1 year old, but it will give you the genreal idea of what we do! http://forthechildrenssake.weebly.com/
I also hosted the meeting last spring with Nancy Kelly in St. Paul. She came up and spoke for the day on CM methods and implimentation. It was great. The LER is already full this year. I didn’t even get into it and I registered really early. Would you all be interested in a day long seminar this summer to talk and share ideas and have some immersion sessions? I have some ideas about how to do it, but I’d like to get your feedback!
