One our DD liked when she was younger is “The Lion and the Lamb.” It is animated and I don’t know if it is out on DVD – its very simple. Christopher Reeves and Amy Grant narrated it. We’ve also liked Little Drummer Boy classic, A Season for Miracles Hallmark, The Christmas Choir, Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Tomey, The Bishop’s Wife, Walton’s Christmas, Little House Christmas, The Man Who Saved Christmas and An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving (unusual to find one for T-giving). Some of these may be more for family or children a bit older but we enjoy these and more and use the “good” messages to relate back to the TRUE message of Christmas for an enjoyable family movie night during the holiday season…Blessings!

I stumbled upon Connie the Cow, a very sweet, unsophisticated cartoon. I have no idea of the origin or where it’s broadcast but all the characters speak with a British accent! Every episode teaches a good lesson or reinforces an important virtue. Our library carries them, and I also ordered them from Amazon. Not to be silly, but this is something I feel good about the kids watching and that is very rare! It’s colorful and completely non-offensive. The characters (all animals) are actually KIND to one another! I think there are some YouTube trailers you could preview.

Hi! Like a lot of you, we don’t do much TV or movies, either. We do watch more often in the winter, though. Our children like Curious George and Harold and the Purple Crayon. These can be found on the PBS site on the Internet (free). My dd has liked the nature, travel and cooking shows since she was that age, too!
