I like to buy my boys a book for Christmas Eve. I try to pick something that interests them. My youngest loves trains. We have Tootle and the Little Engine that Could. Any other ideas for a living book about trains?
My son loves trains as well. I happened upon this one at a book sale and he has really enjoyed it.
Not sure of the ages you are buying for, but my 3 yo loves trains and these are his favorite books. Little Train by Lois Lenski has a lot of information about trains in it for a children’s book. I learned quite a bit.

Lamplighter has 3 books about Trusty the train: Trusty Tried & True; Trusty Gets Off Track; and Trusty Meets Bully Blare. We have the 1st 2 and really enjoy them, but I haven’t read the 3rd yet. It’s about Trusty going to a new school, so I don’t know if it’s a good choice for every family.
