    HI All

My oldest is going into 2nd grade and I know SCM doesn’t suggest a book of centuries until 4th. Or since she is my only one should I do something basic??  Does anyone have any good timeline suggestions.?  I like the idea of a wall timeline, but I’d need to think of someplace good to put it.  Thats why I was thinking of something in a binder format.

    I appreciate the input.

    Blessings,

    Kelly

I, too, am in the same boat.  I have made a BOC for my 5th grade son to start using but want just a timeline for my 2nd grader.  I have printed out pages and taped them together and plan to fold it up and get it out when we need to add things.  We may display it some on our wall, as well.  However, at this time, I only want to make it cover the time period which is covered in Module 1 (so it won’t be so bulky with pages we aren’t using).  Does anyone know off hand the years covered in Module 1?

I bought Rose Publishing’s Book of Timelines:  http://www.rose-publishing.com/productdetails.cfm?PC=776  Can’t say enough good things about all their big books.  The kids love looking through them as much as I do.  My oldest is 7, if that helps.  Smile

You can do a Family Book of Centuries for your young ones.

Module 1 covers Creation through Moses’ death (c. 1451 BC). Our first BoC entry is Cain and Abel, listed at 4000 BC.

Also, there is one AD date you can add, if you want to, that is Ancient Egypt related. The Rosetta Stone was discovered in 1799.

Sonya, thank you!  Do you know how awesome you are to answer our posts so quickly and giving us exactly what we need!    This site has been such a blessing to me!

    God Bless You!
