This Country of Ours or Mara Pratt for 7 yo

    I’d like to start one of these books w/ my 7yo and possibly 10yo if he wants to join in.  My 7yo already has a binder ready, and he is ready!!

    I have TCOO on audio (we’ve listened in the past) plus on my kindle and I have read through some of Pratt’s from mainlesson/YC.

    I’m just not sure which one to choose. I’ve consider the new SCM book but I don’t really have the extra cash to purchase it right now.  I’ve also considered using the books recommended for 1-3 in modules 5 and 6 but I thought the other two may be easier for me when I only have access to my iphone or pc. 

    Any suggestions??

    I like the looks of Mara Pratt’s, although I haven’t read them yet since we aren’t quite to American History. 😉 I do know that Tristan uses them. She may be able to answer when she is not doing the “screen-free” week challenge.

    Thanks sheraz. I’ve been reading a bit of each but they’re both good so maybe it’s just preference or “use what you already have” that leads usSmile.  I need to start tomorrow, so I’d better make a choice. 

    Oh, and I had forgot about the screen-free week (obviously I’m not doing that!) so maybe Tristan will respond when she gets back online.
